Viareport obtains ISAE 3402 certification for its Lease app
The Grant Thornton firm of auditors has issued an ISAE 3402 report for Viareport’s Lease app in SaaS mode, dedicated to lease contracts management. Reliability of the software and its use through the controls implemented is thus certified.
ISAE 3402 (International Standard on Insurance Engagements 3402) is an international standard that acknowledges the reliability of an internal control system in connection with the provision of services. Replacing the SAS 70 standard, the ISAE 3402 standard has been recommended by the IAASB (International Auditing and Assurance standards Board) and the IFAC (International Federation of Accountants).
Obtaining ISAE 3402 certification, as produced by an independent audit firm, is a two-stage process: a type 1 report initially certifies that internal procedures and a suitable control system are in place, followed up by an audit of a minimum of 6 to 9 months to validate effectiveness of this control, and a type II report is then issued.
Following an in-depth audit carried out during the second half of 2020, the Grant Thornton firm certified that a meticulously followed internal control is in place for the Cloud Lease app and the necessary support infrastructure. Following this certification, during the second half of 2021 Grant Thornton will carry out an audit on effectiveness of the internal control for the Lease app.
This certification confirms Viareport’s wish to provide their customers with the assurance that they have a secure software for the long-term. What is more, this internationally recognised standard releases customers from having to carry out a number of costly and time-consuming audits themselves.
